I am researching these names:PEEK, GODFREY, DRENNAN, LANDERS, MAYES and ELLIS, who all lived in Hopkins county at one time. AM ELLIS was there by 1873, his daughter Elizabeth married David DRENNAN and they had these children: Belle, Luther, Orlena, Reedy, and Davy. After her husband died she married Richard LANDERS, then Walter was born.Would like to share information or stories on this family. WT PEEK came to this county in 1892 to work for his uncle Crawford MAYES. He later married Clara GODFREY and they had : Floyd, Maude, Truitt, Bruce, Adolphus and Joyce. WT became a big land owner in Hopkins and Hunt counties, would like to share information.

Calvin may be brother of A. F. Pate, also in 1860 census for Hopkins Co. Beleive both are originally from Weakley Co. TN and that they moved to Hopkins Co TX 1855 - 1860. A. F. Pate md M. J. Looking for information on Joseph Addison BRASHER. Born in Kentuckey1842. His wife Jane Elizabeth born in Fannin Co. Texas . Moved to Hopkins Co.,where they ran a general store. Daughters America Josephine, Emsley Green , Addison Lee and there son Larence Hubberd . Joseph and Jane moved in with daughter America in Abilene Texas . Both died and are buried in Abilene Texas.
