Lamar County Historical Society
History: The Lamar County Historical Society was organized in the spring or
early summer of the year 1914. The objects and purposes of the organization
is to gather, perpetuate and hand down to the future generations all obtainable
historic facts, together with such tradition and legendary incidents as may be
considered pertinent and worthy of preservation.
Dues: $10.00 annually; Membership year is January - December.
Meetings: Regular meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of every month.
Work days are scheduled at the Lamar County Hospital as needed.
