Huddle Cemetery, Lamar County, TX
Huddle Cemetery is in Block 31 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993. From the records of Elizabeth Booth: "Located in the northwest quadrant of the county in a wooded area north of Lake Gibbons, on the John Huddle land. Part of this land was sold to the city of Paris about 1898 for Lake Gibbons. Crumbled sandstone markers, iris and honeysuckle is all that remains to remind one of this old burial site. Lewis and Jewel Huddle supplied information concerning the 4 graves there. None of the deaths are recorded, but it is known from the information on Elijah Carter that the cemetery dates at least to the time of the Civil War." There are 4 known graves at this time.
