There are 17 known graves. From the records of Elizabeth Booth: "Judge Tom Beauchamp, on purchasing the farm from the heirs of the Haynes estate, offered to deed the small burying ground back to the family if they agreed to build a chain link fence about the area. The fence is erect today (1970) and stands as straight as a sentinel on guard." The oldest inscribed grave in the cemetery is that of Sallie E. Colbert (Sarah Elizabeth Haynes Colbert), who died 22 May 1884. Ruth Renfro and Roberta Woods recorded the cemetery for their book CHICOTA, TEXAS 1835_1985, Henry Publishing, Paris, 1986. It was also recorded by Eddie Hicks Haynes in October, 1960. There are no road markers pointing out its location.
